MINDbank
The majority of people holding biomedical PhDs find work, but the number of PhDs who obtain tenure-track faculty positions is a shrinking minority. UCSF MINDbank provides resources for students and postdocs who wish to explore the wide range of possible career outcomes that are available to biomedical trainees.
SOM Tech worked with the MINDbank team to help them design and develop a crowd-sourced curated databank of career information in Salesforce. MINDbank's partners give information on their career paths. The information provided by the partners, as well as the trainees following their career exposure experiences, is aggregated for dissemination. Information collected thus far include the skills and tasks required for specific career paths, transitional experiences, job trends and demographic info.
